Tips Before Your Tattoo Appointment

1. Prepare Your Body

To help your body handle the tattoo session and heal properly:

  • Get a good night's sleep before your appointment.

  • Eat a nutritious meal before you arrive.

  • Stay well hydrated before, during and after your session.

2. Avoid Before Your Appointment

For the best tattooing experience, please avoid:

  • Alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Recreational or illegal drugs.

  • Arriving on an empty stomach.

  • Excessive caffeine immediately before your appointment.

3. Come Prepared

To make your appointment as comfortable as possible:

  • Wear clean, loose and comfortable clothing.

  • Choose clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area.

  • Bring water and light snacks if you have a long session.

  • Feel free to bring headphones, a book or another form of entertainment.  

Before your appointment, please let your tattoo artist know if you:

  • Have allergies.

  • Have diabetes or another medical condition.

  • Take blood-thinning medication.

  • Have a skin condition in the tattoo area.

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Feel unwell on the day of your appointment.
